Clarity PR appoints Amy Grimshaw as Associate Director
Clarity, a global integrated communications agency recently commended by PRWeek as both Best International Agency, and winner of Specialist Consultancy of the Year, has announced a senior appointment in the London office.
Amy Grimshaw has joined Clarity in the role of associate director and will sit on the London senior leadership team. This is a strategic hire for Clarity, with Amy coming on board to supercharge its offering for VCs as well as work within Clarity’s global startup team and lead its offering for early-stage business in Europe.
Based in Clarity’s London office and reporting into Clarity’s President, EMEA, Rachel Gilley, Amy brings over 12 years of experience to the Clarity team. Most recently Amy headed up communications and PR at the Founders Factory, working with Brent Hoberman and Henry Lane Fox, responsible for corporate communications globally and providing hands-on PR support for its vast, multi-sector startup portfolio. Founders Factory was voted the best startup accelerator in Europe for two consecutive years, as well as being the world’s largest venture studio.
Rachel Gilley, President, EMEA, Clarity: “I always get excited when we add new people to our team and with Amy we really have secured a first class strategic hire. Her experience at Founders Factory, the communications consultancy she has provided to a myriad of exciting early stage startups, and her extensive network will really see us drive our offering in Europe where we’ve already seen high demand for communications consultancy and digital activation programmes. And it’s not just startups that will benefit from her experience. We’re regularly approached by more established businesses looking to capture the entrepreneurial start up magic and apply it to the way they position themselves, and she will, I know, bring so much value to those conversations.”
Amy Grimshaw, Associate Director, Clarity: “Jumping from one rocket ship to another, I am delighted to be joining such an ambitious and smart team who I have long admired and recommended. It’s a high-growth, fast paced environment full of creativity - so it’s truly home from home for me after such an incredible time at Founders Factory. Clarity’s vast experience and nimble set-up means we can support the most ambitious entrepreneurs at all stages of their company’s growth - anywhere in the world - which is such a unique position in the market.”
Amy Grimshaw’s appointment follows a string of recent senior hires including Alex Judd as Head of Impact and Planning, Jon Meakin as President, North America and Kara Silverman as Managing Director, New York. In 2020, Clarity saw record revenue growth of 47% year on year, along with a series of recent investments in the business including the acquisition of Yellow Communications in Benelux; and the acquisition of Brew PR in Los Angeles and consumer tech agency Dynamo in Q4, 2019. Recent client wins for Clarity include Amplitude, Burt, Mirza and SurveyMonkey.
