ELLE UK unveils new sections and design refresh
ELLE UK’s September issue, and the first to be fully edited by new Editor-in-Chief, Kenya Hunt, introduces an exciting and energising evolution for the brand with an impactful design refresh, new sections throughout the magazine, a cohort of new ELLE UK voices and the launch of a variety of compelling new series on the website.
With Grammy-award winning singer Lizzo as its cover star, the issue centres on the theme of reinvention and invites readers to reimagine new possibilities for tomorrow, including the way women live, love, work, or dress.
ELLE UK’s design evolution features bright, bold photography and the fashion pages showcase a creative, playful typography inspired by early, archival issues of ELLE UK, paying homage to the brand’s DNA with a fresh and modern aesthetic.
The new sections introduced to the magazine include: ‘The Moment’, an essay by an established writer connecting moments in the world of fashion to the cultural, personal and political ; ‘Agenda’, a tightly curated edit of what should be on readers’ radar from the worlds of fashion, art, food, interiors, film and more; ‘First Look’, everything new and next in the world of fashion and culture; ‘Style + Shop’, which combines inspiring shoots with edits of the most covetable pieces and indispensable what-to-wear solutions; and ‘In + Out’, an entertaining guide to staying in and going out.
ELLE UK will also launch a series of new features on ELLE.com/UK that reflect the refresh, including ‘The Future Of Fashion’, exploring the new technology, designers, collectives and ideas set to redefine the way we look at the world of fashion and our wardrobes; ‘Beyond the Girl Boss’, which champions the women and collectives redefining work culture; ‘Fashioning Myself’, where ELLE UK women chronicle the evolution of their look; ‘Cut to Size’, which will shine a light on the designers, models and advocates reimagining the body in fashion and pushing for a more size-inclusive industry for all; and ‘Creating A Culture Shift’, celebrating the women whose work has helped revolutionise the conversation around women’s rights, sustainability and social justice.
