Hearst Magazines names Kabir Seth Senior Vice President of Product and Technology

Hearst Magazines has announced that Kabir Seth has been named senior vice president of product and technology.

The announcement was made by Hearst Magazines President Debi Chirichella and Interim Head of Hearst Media Platforms Rajiv Pant, to whom Seth will report.

Seth, who has 15 years of experience designing, developing and delivering user-focused products, will be accountable for product management, technology strategy and technical project delivery across Hearst Magazines.

Chirichella: “With his vast knowledge and experience in product engineering and technology, Kabir will help propel the ongoing innovation and digital transformation of our business and our brands. He brings an impressive record of driving development and implementation processes to his new role, which will steer the direction of our products and evolve the industry standard.”

Seth joins Hearst Magazines from The Wall Street Journal, where he was chief operating officer of digital experience and strategy and head of product strategy. There, he was responsible for executing and overseeing the brand’s digital product experience. Prior to that, he held numerous product strategy leadership roles at TravelClick and Pearl Global Industries Limited.

Pant: “Kabir’s product and program management experience, ability to collaborate closely with engineering and design and track record for getting complex projects done, on budget and on time, will enable us to further accelerate the digital transformation of our business,” Pant said. “His empathy for both customers and stakeholders will help align product and technology with our business and content objectives.”

Earlier in his career, Seth founded a startup edutainment company that utilized augmented reality and led all aspects of product and creative development, from mobile application to story creation.
