AD launches new video-on-demand platform 'Play'
DPG Media’s sports and entertainment platform , AD, recently launched a brand new video-on-demand platform on the site and in the app: Play.
It contains high-profile video series in line with the news and sporting events. Presenters Arda Kaya, Marcel Bamberg, Robbyn Jansen and Shula Tas will work exclusively for the platform.
In addition, sports presenters Hidde van Warmerdam, Thijs Zonneveld and Sjoerd Mossou extensively discuss all major sports events on Play. Play will later be rolled out on the sites and apps of the regional news titles of the AD.

The talented presenters Robbyn Jansen (31), Shula Tas (35), Arda Kaya (26) and Marcel Bamberg (30) will create exclusive video content for the platform, in the form of new formats that will be launched with the start of Play. In 'En Profile' one person who has been in the news recently is central. In the series 'In 360 seconds' a complicated topic is explained in 6 minutes. 'The People Of…' highlights people from different subcultures and brings their environment closer to the viewer. In 'Echt…' the presenter goes with a celebrity to his birthplace to find out more about that person. With a healthy dose of humor, all formats will both amuse and inform.
Through intensive collaborations and media partnerships with, among others, NOC*NSF, Play is always in the front row when it comes to major sporting events such as the Olympic Games, the Tour de France, and the European and World Cup football. Hidde van Warmerdam, Thijs Zonneveld and Sjoerd Mossou report and make their proven successful formats Panenka and In Het Wiel for Play.
Play can be found in the AD app and via AD.nl/Play. Soon Play will also be launched at BN DeStem, Brabants Dagblad, Eindhovens Dagblad, De Gelderlander, de Stentor, PZC and Tubantia.
